Many Shamvik's I.S. machines are running around the world, and reports indicate strong product acceptance and satisfaction. Here are some of the developments that you may see in the future:

GOB WEIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM
Gob weight control system measures temperature of each gob that is cut by the shear mechanism. The system continuously compares the set weight and the actual weight of the gob, and takes corrective action. The weight of the tube is controlled automatically resulting in closer tolerances in the gob weight. Huge saving in raw material is possible using Gob Weight Control System.

SERVO GOB DISTRIBUTOR
The Servo Gob Distributor is a servo driven mechanism that accurately loads the gob into I.S. machine's delivery system. It is mounted below the Shear Mechanism of the Feeder on a Support Bracket on top of the Overhead Beam. It is designed to operate at a working speed up to 220 shear cuts per minute.

SERVO FEEDER
Servo feeder allows adjustment of plunger height without stopping the feeder. The profile of plunger travel can be programmed improving gob forming. Wide variation in loading rate from 1 to 275 cuts/minute is possible. Cams are totally eliminated by servo mechanisms. Can be linked with automatic weight control resulting saving in raw material.

SERVO STACKER
Bottles can be pushed into the Lehrs very gently using servo stackers. The stacker motion can be programmed so that motion is very gentle when the stacker touches the bottle and travels at high speed as soon as it leaves the bottles in Lehr. CAMs are totally eliminated using servo stackers. The number of bottles pushed can be changed without stopping the stacker.

MOULDS & MOULD GAUGES FOR GLASS WARE INDUSTRY
The moulds are used to get the desired shape of the parison. Different types of moulds are used depending upon the shape & capacity of bottle. These moulds are precisely machined to get the required final shape. The mould life depends upon following factors

Quality of glass article when the bottle dimensions are within the close tolerances mould life is reduced due to wear.
Frequency of job changing
Type of glass article produced: when the moulds have thin sections, thermal shocks can lead to breakdown of the mould.

The quality of mould material will have influence on the mould life. Accurate machining helps to increase mould life by reducing the mechanical damage, which occurs during jamming of the forming machine. Reinforcement of moulds edges by metalisation increases mould life.

Takeout tongs

The mould equipment gauges are desired for checking equipment during the process of manufacture. The mould gauge equipment assures correct interlocking first. These gauges provide maximum support to mould repair shop.
